San Joaquin Valley Clean Cities Coalition
San Joaquin Valley Clean Cities Coalition (SJVCCC) is a partnership of public and private agencies and businesses who want to improve air quality in Califronia's Central Valley. Our goals are to clean the air and reduce the United States' Dependence on foreign oil by reducing petroleum use in the transportation sector. Our stakeholders develop public/private partnerships to promote alternative fuels and vehicles, fuel blends, fuel economy, hybrid vehicles, and idle reduction technologies. We seek to develop cooperative joint ventures which will help businesses and member agencies comply with air and transportation regulations in a cost-effective manner.
The SJVCCC is part of the United States Department of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy's Vehicle Technology program. For more information and services visit the website: www.eere.energy.gov/cleancities. The SJVCCC reports on local activities to the US DOE, including local fuel prices, stakeholder fleet information, and updates for the web-based national alternate fuel station locator (on the Alternate Fuel Data Center website) and stakeholder success stories.
The SJVCCC members have steadily increased the number of alternative fuel vehicles on our Valley's highways, with annual gains averaging over 15%. Our stakeholders have received millions of dollars in local, state, and federal funding since our inception in 1994.
We provide a free interchange of ideas, a quarterly newsletter, technical industry training, funding leads, and notice of legislative issues and regulatory requiremnets.
We host stakeholder meetings and workshops.
We advocate for our members and for alternate fuel programs.
